COACH Code of conduct

The Coach plays a critical leadership role within Black Gold FC and is responsible for creating and maintaining a positive, safe, competitive, and development-focused environment for players, families, officials, and volunteers. Coaches are expected to foster both individual player growth and team success while prioritizing athlete welfare, sportsmanship, and respect.

As leaders and mentors, Coaches are responsible for upholding the highest standards of conduct and ensuring a culture of accountability and continuous development. Coaches are expected to serve as positive role models and ambassadors of Black Gold FC, representing the club's values, standards, and reputation in all soccer-related and community activities.

As a Black Gold FC Coach, I agree to:

1. Promote a winning environment that emphasizes player development, safety, teamwork, and respect.
   
2. Place the physical, mental, and emotional well-being of athletes at the forefront of my coaching practices.
   
3. Follow all concussion protocols, including recognizing signs of head injury, removing athletes from play when appropriate, and supporting safe return-to-sport procedures.
   
4. Adhere to the Rule of Two and maintain appropriate professional boundaries by ensuring safe, transparent, and accountable interactions with athletes.
   
5. Create a positive, inclusive, and supportive environment where every player has the opportunity to develop and succeed.
   
6. Encourage sportsmanship, integrity, accountability, resilience, and a strong work ethic both on and off the field.
   
7. Communicate with players, parents, officials, and club representatives in a respectful, constructive, and professional manner.
   
8. Respect referees, opponents, teammates, and the rules of the game, and promote the same standards among players.
   
9. Uphold all Safe Sport principles by preventing and addressing abuse, bullying, harassment, discrimination, and misconduct, and reporting concerns through appropriate channels.
   
10. Represent Black Gold FC with integrity, professionalism, and pride while complying with all club, Alberta Soccer, Canada Soccer, and applicable coaching certification requirements.
    

Disciplinary Action

Failure to comply with this Code of Conduct may result in disciplinary action, including verbal or written warnings, suspension from team or Club activities, removal from events, or termination of membership, as determined by Black Gold FC
