Battle River Soccer Association is proud to formally announce our partnership with Wolverhampton Wanderers FC, a renowned club in the English Premier League. This collaboration has been in development for several years through the efforts of the Black Gold Soccer Academy, and we are thrilled to bring it under the Battle River umbrella for the benefit of our entire District.

This partnership includes several key components designed to elevate both player and coach development within our community:

• Annual Wolves Development Camps: Each year, Wolves staff will travel to our District to deliver high‑quality player and coach development sessions.
• Team Experiences in England: Select teams will have the opportunity to travel to Wolverhampton to train with Wolves Academy staff and compete against local opposition.
• Ongoing Coach Education: Our competitive coaches will receive monthly online training directly from Wolves, ensuring alignment with modern, professional‑level development standards.

In preparation for this exciting collaboration, we established Black Gold FC in partnership with the Leduc Soccer Association. The club launched with seven teams in its first indoor season, representing nearly 100 dedicated players—a promising start to a long-term development pathway.
